My first trip to coimbatore

Posted by Anish

After a long tiring driving of around 400km, now i am sitting in my hotel room, allotted for me by my employer. An awesome view of the city is available for me from this fifth floor room. Then i tried ma mobile for gprs coverage..luckily or unluckily I got a gprs connectivity during national roaming also..( the airtel ppl told me tat, it is not available). then i felt like I will share ma today’s experience with u…

Starting at 5am from ma homeland, Anchal, me and ma driver is supposed to share the driving schedule..fifty-fifty.. i luv driving.. so I thought it will be a gud chance for me to test ma skills and this is the longest drive I ever had, 400+ kms in one stretch..

I was experienced in ma regular route from ma home to ernakulam. nothing special in tat.but first time in ma life, i came through thrissur-palakkad-route. Many of ma friends told me tat the road is worse, so they are not coming by their vehicles. That information was correct to some extend.. the road’s situation is worse at many points, so i cant even speedup and ma tyres are making extra sound.

But more than tat, the thrill was the beauty of the nature which makes us forget about the bad road conditions. The walayar checkpost and its surroundings is one of the most beautiful places, i have seen in kerala. Lush green, thick forest and the low flying clouds, along with the raindrops, make the scenery into an awesome one.

My accommodation for the first seven days is arranged in Hotel Balaji International. its situated in Gandhipuram, almost in the centre of the city. I got an awesome view of the city from my floor. After four years,i got a tv remote in my hand and i am keep on changing the channels.hehe

And along with this i got my gprs back, so that i can keep in touch with ma orkut friends. Hope I will meet some of my new colleagues, who are staying in this same hotel.

bye for now.. more will be updated soon…
